I was having issues with my car feeling like it was dragging while driving and almost loosing it's connection while waiting at stop lights. Just a few weeks before I had a new battery installed so I wondered if it was maybe my alternator. I pulled into Advance Auto Parts to see if they could sit in the car and determine what might be the problem. Erik tested my battery and it was low. I didn't have enough juice in it to get me back to the mechanic that originally installed the battery and I didn't want to chance being stuck along a road somewhere in the rain so I contacted my insurance company to get a tow. Well that took about 2 hours longer then they said it would so while I was waiting at the store the employees were not only nice to me but took care of me. Ashley let me borrow her charger to charge my phone; I was obviously having a lot of battery issues that day! Karen got me a chair so I could sit near the charging phone and contact family to keep them updated. And Erik was always there to help me with anything extra I needed. They should all get raises...:-) Thanks again you guys! Your store is my store of choice from now on...even if I have to drive out of my way.

Moved son to UCF on Fri. Driving down University at 7:45pm when I noticed the message "Batter Not Charging" appear. Quick Google Search revealed that it was likely the Alternator - confirmed with family friend who is a mechanic and told me no chance I'd make it back to Tampa. Tried a Tire's Choice at 8pm, but while still working they said they should have been closed an hour before and no way they could take me.Pulled into Advance Auto at 8pm - 2 hours later pulled out with new alternator installed and made it back to Tampa.A few Notes:- Took me at least twice as long as someone who has changed an alternator before :-D- Had wife and 4 yr old daughter in truck- Had mechanic friend walk me through the steps to remove bad alternator - I just reversed to install the new one- Employee Jason B was Very Helpful and went out of his way to make sure we had everything needed- Parking lot lights are on timer and went out at 9:40 (Jason also told us this was likely the case prior to him and the other employee leaving)I've never really worked on vehicles, but with the right guidance from my mechanic and parts from Advance Auto, was able to save at least a few hundred (couple hundred would have gone to Labor and marked up parts at local repair shop plus hotel costs and food)Thanks Jason B and Advance Auto!

Don't go here if you want any customer service. The employee I dealt with (Cashier. Michael A.) was very unfriendly and sold me the wrong item 2 times in a row (a 3rd brake light for my car). I am extremely nooby with cars but after finding out my 3rd brake light was out from getting my oil changed at firestone I figured I would rather change it myself than pay firestone $12 in labor for a 1 minute job. Anyways I told Michael all this and he ended up selling me normal brake lights instead of what I needed which I didn't discover were the wrong lights until I got home and took out the old 3rd brake light and saw the difference in size of the lights. Anyways, so I returned and then he said "oh I thought you were talking about the brake lights" and pulled out what looked like the correct light I would need and so I purchased it and asked him politely if he could help me install the 3rd brake light but he said that he only is allowed to help with wipers and batteries so (silly me I should have checked in the parking lot) I went home to try to put in the brake light, and what do you know it doesn't fit either! So at this point I decided to just call the store and guess who answers! Michael! I told him my problem and he decided to accuse me by saying "I must not be doing something right and that I should push and or twist the bulb harder". Anyways I figured he was wrong but I decided to take his advice and VOILA... the bulb cracked... Yeah thanks for the genius advice Mike. Anyways so then I ended up driving back AGAIN but this time to return the bulbs and just leave. Before I left though he made sure to say "you must be doing something wrong" and I said "it's too bad you can't prove me wrong" and his response was "yep". Oh P.S. it turns out Mike that you were wrong and I was right. I ended up going to autozone where they sold me the correct light and not only that but they went outside to install it for me after I told them about my previous experience with you and that I wasn't sure if I knew how to install the bulb correctly. Anyways thanks for wasting my time and pissing me off. Hope you like my review.

There was an employee there who was extremely disrespectful and cocky. Everytime I asked him anything regarding a certain product and how it should be used he just kept snickering and looking at me and answering in a very condescending way. He made it seem like I should've known everything he was talking about and it was all general knowledge. Not only did he shoot down the suggestions I asked him about he also kept saying that the dealership I went to doesn't know anything. I had to wait a while till I finally found someone who decided to ask me if i needed any help. The store felt like it was worse than a flea market and no one was at the counter or anywhere remotely inside the store. I will not be shopping at this location anymore.

Great place, excellent service when I needed a new battery, the guy explained everything and didn't kill me with the cost or with things I didn't need.
